Screw Cap Source

Anyone have a source for the black plastic screw caps for the metal strip between dash and window? It’s a friction fit so would love to find some that have been verified to fit. Thanks!

Both the screws and cap have their own P/N's on the fische. The cap is 8871-60-701, but doesn't seems to be available in the system. (surprise). The screw measures .380 dia. (3/8) X .080 high. The cap is again .380 on its I.D. and about .09 deep. You could turn these out pretty quick on a lathe, or there always seems to be someone parting out a car on FB.

Got it found some hinged versions on McMasters that will be tolerant of inexact sizing. And less likely to fly across the garage when pried loose!

If it works, you might want to post a like for others who might be looking for the same part.

Works. Not quite simple as has to grind down the screw head diameter… but hey I got to make sparks! Ended up with an Amazon product as could not stomach the McMaster shipping costs.

oh, and size small for the caps.
