SCCA Engine question...

Hey guys- I am looking in the GCR as to what we can and cant do to these engines... however I am a little unclear as to what exactly are the limits to what we can do...

Can someone give me some insite into how much porting can or cannot be done? 1 inch port-match...what about inside the engine?

Most likely, the engine must be 100% stock. If it ain't the way Mazda made it, it ain't SCCA legal.

Here are the spec7 rules.

http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/RoadRa..._rx7_rules.pdf

L. “NO TOUCH RULE” 1. The following components, or any part thereof, may not be modified, detailed or massaged in ANY way:
a. Engine (including intake or exhaust ports and all internal moving or stationary parts)
b. Transmission
c. Carburetor (except as allowed in Section 3.F.8).
d. Intake or exhaust manifold.
e. Any and all emission control devices (except as allowed in 3.G.1).
f. Vacuum lines.
g. Drive pulleys.

Rules may be a little different as these are from the SoPac SCCA page.
