same mounting specs on 12A?

I am looking to buy a used motor, but do not know if a 12a rotory from a vehicle 1985 - 1999 has the same mounting specs and bell housing bolt pattern as mine which came out of a 1978 RX7? I didn't even realize that they made the 12a much later then the early 80s. Could someone please help me out with this question. I did not find any info online. Thanx!

1985 was the last year for the 12A. The 1st-gen RX-7 was the last car to use it, IIRC the HB Cosmo had switched to the injected 13B (GSL-SE style) a little earlier.

Thanks PeeJay,
So are the physical differences obvious? The pictures that he posted look exactly like my 12a. Any tell tales that you can think of? Thanks again
