jorx81, You got any more pics of the chick in your avatar? I don't think it'll hurt your engine, no. Your ears will die though, and not to mention all that heat coming out at the end of the header. That isn't a good idea.

Not really safe, fumes will be allowed into the car, so keep your windows open, also beware of fire if you have carpets.

This would be good for a track only setup and some tracks have db limits, which you will exceed. There are also exhaust flow tuning issues to concider. Certain lengths of tubing will produce more hp and torque, similiar to a tuned piston header. Iirc the ideal lengths are 12", 24" 96" and 108".

What I want to know is, WTF would posess you to do such a thing. I'm not saying I know everything, But damn use some common sense. It sounds like your car doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell with you as the owner.

Recalling and age becomes a battle in itself. Learn everything you can now, it's easy to forget later.

nothing wrong with liking noise. just make sure you dont get caught, at all, or youre screwed. heat and fume issues are the only 2, but if you put a downpipe on it then it should be fine, just make sure you dont have any clearance issues, and btw, flames WILL come out of the headers so take that into consideration.

I have considered a side exit before the passenger side rear wheel, but that would be very loud unless it was a turbo EFI engine also.

A general legal guide is to have the exhaust exit behind the rearmost opening window so that fumes do not get drawn inside the car when being driven. The hatch does not open when underway.

I carried a leather office chair in mine awhile back...about 25 miles with the hatch open..I was feeling rather spacy by the time I reached my destination..despite the fact it was a freeeeeway trip
