SAFC or SAFC II has anyone been able to hook one up?

I know that our ECU's don't adjust fuel and air to outside changes. The second gen guys benifit from the updated ECU.

A guy in the second gen forum made an extra 15HP (dyno sheets scanned posted) just by using the "SAFC II" and tuning the Stock ecu. no porting to the motor, and some bolt-on's and he's pushing 159 at the wheels. and almost 190 at the flywheel.

My question is has anyone hooked one up to an GSL-SE?

it was probably a t2 no? you have to also think, 15hp (but probably wont be that much on a -se) for a $300 safc? plus, i think i read somewhere that they dont hook up, maybe a search? i dunno what ot tell you man, but thought i would bring up 15hp and $300, doesnt sound cost effective to me...

Exhaust system from racing beat:

$650

Power gained:

20hp

Besides that, i'd go read up on the S-AFC info, and look at the install instructions. If it seems like it will work from what the instructions say, Get one, install it If it doesnt work, then sell it on ebay for like 20 less than you bought it as new.

It's been awhile, but I do belive our (GSL-SE) AFM's work off 5 volts where the 2nd Gens are 12v based, and the SAFC was built around 12v systems and won't be able to adjust a 5v one.
Been awhile, but I looked hard into getting one a couple years ago, and belive this is what I came up with. dusting cobwebs off brain.....

Byt the way, I think you'd only be able to REMOVE Fuel on a GSL-SE, as it has only two Injectors which can easily be maxed out. On a 4 injector setup, there is more tunability.

On a similar Note:
I am not sure, but I heard the RX-8's where able to get up to 199 to the wheels by just removing some fuel from the Pig Rich ECU settings. ALL with a SAFC.

For the RX-8 ECU info, check out canzoomer's place on the www.rx8club.com, he's done some tuning and has some impressive results.
