SA22 help with voltage regulator

We cannot seem to find any instructions on how to test the voltage regulator. Have scanned over the 1980 shop manual with no avail on info about it. Did not see any info in the indexes. We were looking at the online source on wankel.net.

If someone has a clue to where it's found online, please let me know. Thanks!

BTW, still working on our early 79 model. Hey it runs, but having charging issues.

It's specific to the 79 model and only found in the 79 FSM, Sec 5, p. 6. Unless you wish to keep the car bone stock, then it's time to upgrade to an alt with an internal regulator.

I have a 79 manual. I can scan the page and e-mail it if need be.

regulator

By all means, please scan it and email it to rx7addict@aol.com

That would be awesome.

Secondly is there a procedure on how to do the conversion to avoid the regulator?

Iirc, there is a write up on the conversion, but I don't remember where, try the FAQs and archives. I'll get that scanned and sent off, you will need 2 ohm/multimeters to do the full test.
