SA Rear Sway Bar

Does anyone know what diameter the rear sway bar on an SA is supposed to be?

I bought sway bar bushings from Energy Suspension and they are too small in diameter. I think they say the bar is supposed to be 14.5mm (.571 in). I measured my rear bar and it was 5/8 in.

Thanks,
Keith

the sa sway bars are like 17 or 18 mm... just about the size of the third gens. they were this big because they were an option. strangely enough, it hardly makes the rear tail-happy.

Just a question, does your sway bar curve upwards on the passengers side??.. Mine does, it almost looks like a hook.

I don't recall my sway bar curving up on the passenger side (its not here in front of me).

Also, the actual bar diameter was .635 (16.1 mm) when I measured it with a pair of calipers

Thanks,
Keith

Actually, now that I am home looking at the bar, the passenger side does curve up. Sorry I was at work when I replied and the last time I was looking at it I was thinking to myself, "How the hell are these bushings going to work?". But it does curve upward. So what does that mean?

Thanks for everyones help!

Mazda went to 15mm in the later cars because they later cars sat lower because they were overweight pigs, and this screwed up the suspension geometry. Adding an LSD didn't help any.
