S5 shifter into S3 tranny?

S5 shifter into S3 tranny?
I know you can put an S5 shifter into an S4 tranny and vice versa. How bout an S3?

well since the s4 will go into the s3 the answer is yes

why not just get a miata short shifter off ebay, yes they work and yes they are TRUE short shifters

What's the thread pattern on that? I'm trying to import 5 speed RX-8 shift *****.

its the same as the series 5, which is the same as the rx-8 iirc
