S4 swap wiring question

Im in the middle of doing an 88 S4 NA swap and im having problems with my fuel pump relay (ciurcut opening relay) i think i got it figuered out but i still have one question about the wiring harness.

in the pic below with a manual trans is wires 3D and 3B suppose to combined together?

I don't know if this is right but this is kind of what I interpret from looking at the crappy s4 wiring diagram. (the S5 diagram just looks cleaner... but irrelavant)

3J connects to the thing next to the circled 3 (on the B line). When the signal is sent to the ECU, through 3J, the signal is distributed to the components that are led from 3B and 3D.
