S4 omp question

Hey everyone I just received my s4 front plate and omp-it's for a fd conversion. My question is this. When I rotate the lever depending on where the coiled spring sits on the shaft it can open more or less. When the spring sits straight on the upper part of the shaft flush with the bracket it doesn't open that much. Like I said this is for a conversion and also I'm not going to be using the stock rod, but I'm making brackets and using a brake cable to the stock fd throttle body. Someone please help me, if someone could please take a picture of it when it's fully opened. Thank you very much!!!

Lift the rod up until it stops, that's when it's fully open. That's the distance you'll need to work with for the lever on the throttle shaft for the FD throttle body. I'm assuming that you're installing ReSpeed's FC subframe conversion to mount the engine. Keep in mind that the 3rd gen engine is a rear mount, 2nd gen a center mount and 1st gen is a front mount.

Since you list the new engine as an RE instead of an REW, is this a Cosmo engine? If this is for an REW, I'll also assume that you're going with a standalone ecu to get around the electronic MOP used in the S5 and S6 engines. If that's not the case, the oem MOP must still be connected to the wiring harness, then tied off to the side out of the way. Otherwise the ecu reads a fault with the e-mop and goes into limp mode.

Thanks trochoid, that's not really what I was asking. I wanted to know where is the max point the arm swings to. Since I posted this also on the 2nd gen forum someone replied that when the arm is parallel that's the maximum point of what it injects. Actually this is a cosmo 13bre engine and I"ve mounted the fd throttle body, and it's going into my rx8.

Now that's one hell of an engine/car combo. Thanks for the info on the MOP. I have a few laying around, I'll need to check that out.
