S3 To S4 Intake Mod

I have seen this done before and just wondering if there is a write-up somewhere on this? If not what will I need to do for this conversion?

See if this helps, it's the only one I know of that at least shows the setup and how the guy did it. It's more towards the bottom.

yeah a was gunna buy one of that guys s5 intakes. but hes got back proplems so it might be a while and then i found some cheap ITB's so i dont think its gunna happen. The only propblem is that the s5 have VDI wich you need to run a rpm swich for. And i believe the S4 6ports are still exaust actuated while the s5 are air pump actuated. Correct me if im wrong. Oh the intake in that pic is an s5 not an s4. other than that i believe if you going to go from s3 to s4 all you have to do is block of the egr passage or something let me see if i can find the article that was on it

Yeah, I know that it's for an S5 intake, but it's really the only thread I could find that provided pictures and how the guy did it.

the only thing i know of is if you going to use a s4 intake you will have to grind the lower intake flat where the egr passage is and fabricate a braket to close off the rest of the egr port because s4 have smaller ports than SE do. but i cant find were the guy did a walkthrough on it.

other than that i dont know for sure i heard something about you have to get your s3 BAC to work in the s4 intake with a little modding. what you could always do is get a complete s4 intake and start tearing **** up. best way to learn besides it more fun that being told how to do it.

yeah the best way to learn is get extra parts...disassemble, inspect, take pictures if you want, then reassemble.

I'd ask some of the guys in the 2nd Gen section. They might be able to help you out.

Yeah there are a lot of threads if you search for them...but at times it can be hard to find the right answer when searching.
