s2000 pinion gear in FB GSLSE

I have a 1982 FB 12A with a GSLSE rear end with LSD. I have a pinion gear ratio of 4.076 and I want know if is possible instal in it a pinion gear from a s2000 with the gear ratio 4.78? Did I have to do any modification, or is a simple swamp?

Regards

I don't think the S2000s here got 4.78 gears, but the first generation Kia Sportage did, and the front diff assembly is a direct bolt-in replacement for '84-85 RX-7. It has the '83-85 driveshaft flange and the '84-85 (really '84-current) axle splines.

I'm on my third set. They have all been noisy for a while until they break in properly since they never get any use in a truck.

Thanks, I know that some Kia Sportage have 4.78 gear, but here in Portugal they only have 4.44. I know where i can get a 4.78 gear from a s2000, but i want to know if the pinion gear set is the same, and if is compatible swamping it in my rear end.

Any one? Did someone know if the s2000 pinion gear is swappable on the gslse rear end?

Regards

This is the first thing I thought of as well. It could be beneficial to have one shipped to you from another country since the swap is so easy.. my 2 cents.
