Have to rip a lot of stuff off my fb before it gets junked this weekend. Dont ask for any parts because i have beat the ever lasting crap out of every body panel and ect. I been trying to remove the whole pedal assembly for 2 days now and just can't get it off!! I already have all the pedals removed but the actaul metal bracket that it mounts to i cant get off. I know for a fact i have every nut removed but it wont come free. It wiggles around alot but no matter how much crap i rip out from underneath their it just doesnt leave enough room. It constantly hits something elso before it comes free. Towards the bottom of the plate it keeps hitting a bolt that sticks out into the interior. Towards to top of the bracket it hits some metal crap by the bottom of the dash. Im the worst as describing stuff and i dont have a camera. Ive searched around and havent found jack that would help me. I have all the info i need on the swap....just this stupid pedal assembly wont come off. I heard a million times the pedal assembly is the hardest part and i sure as hell can agree to that. Any help would be great since ive been in the worst mood past few days. O yeah also im rebuilding/porting a 12a right now and i have racing beat porting bits with their templates. How do you people feel about there porting bits? Iv'e used plenty others before for other porting and i must say racing beat has the worst bits ive ever used.

It's been a while since I've parted out a 1st gen. I don't recall if you need to remove the dash and steering column or not. I think Adan's right about removing the masters to get them out of the way. You might be able to drop the column down instead of removing it.

You don't have to take the dash out. Sounds like you just need to take the brake booster out or something. I've taken out two or three pedal assemblies. It should be really easy.

I bought 3-4 sets of 4, one with long shanks. Been using them for over 3 years on everything. Only problem was one long shank wobbles, the rest have performed very well.
