But I Need To Know If Rx8 Spark Plugs Will Work On My 12a Stock Engine,, My Cousin Hooked Me Up With This Spark Plugs Since He Was Working Their He Just Gave Them To Me,,

Will It Work, My Cousin That Has Been Working On Rotors About Ten Years Says Yea But Never Tried It., I Want To Know If It Works ..

I Have Them In Car I Havent Turn Car On Since Im Waiting For Gas Pump,,please Help,

Use only NGK or ND's specced for the engine or you can damage the rotors.

Hopefully they will come out without destroying your threads too. Sorry but you got some
really bad advice.

 

not so much. you can see the design is completely different, not to mention the heat range has to be way off. stick with the stock NGK BR8EQ14's

 

Even Autolites and Bosch can scrach the rotors. Or so I read here.

Remember to use the anti seize compound too on the threads of the NGK's you go buy tomorrow.

I use ND's but they are just clones of the NGK and don't go off the reservation with design changes.

 

they will work in 13B but not in a 12a... i own rx8, first gen 12a and second gen 13b.

The bureq7 and 9 will work in 13B whether rx8 or 7, but for the smaller housings on 12a i dont think they hotter plugs will sit properly. Maybe the leading but not the trailing for sure.

 

IIRC you can get them for like 4 bucks each online....just takes like a week to get there

Rx8 is not an RX7....

 

Sparkplugs.com gives the critical dimensions of RX-8 same as RX-7: 14mm thread x 3/4" reach (in the peculiar mixed standard for plugs). the physical dimensions are the same.

Autolite 2626 are excellent plugs and I've used them in 12As and 13bs for years. They start easier and resist flooding better than traditional plugs because of the annular electrode which sorta gives one an infinite number of electrodes. Cheaper than NGKs, too, I used to be able to get them for $2, but not the last couple years

Modern plugs are always gapped properly at the factory and most are not even adjustable. So get the right size gap. For example, if you have an SA or a REPU with mechanical points you need a small 0.030 gap which requires a different plug from the RX-7.

 

Why? Just run what the Mazda Engineers recommended all along.

Had This And Figure They The Same ,since Is A 13b..and I Have Used 13b

Plugs On 12a But The New Design On Engine On The Rx8 Has Me A Little

Off mazdaspeeds recommendations I'm running 3rd gen NGK plugs. The car is amazingly smooth and starts up faster than ever. (roughly 1-2 seconds of cranking when cold, just have to blip the starter when warm) To be fair, the old ones were the most worn out plugs I think I've ever seen.

I personally avoid autocrap plugs like the plague. Just had bad experiences with them, have to replaced them atleast twice as often as NGKs and the overall quality I feel seriously lacks. Even threading them into a head it feels like the threads are cut poorly. JMHO

 

why don't you just turn the car over and see if it works. you have them in already just try it. the only thing it might do is the leading could scratch the apex seal. but there are guys running the bur6eq in the leading and no scratched rotors. heck i use them in mine would really like to see if the will run the 12a better or worse then the stock plugs.

 

I will try it once i get pump ,im hoping i get one tomorrow , well i was looking at size from old ones and new ones they are very similiar in size but one thing is for sure im not going to try something and mest up and engine especially a rebuilt one, im taking them off and measuring the old and new again and make sure they all good before i try anything, thanks again, ill keep everyone posted and hopefully it starts right up..it started right up with old ones all burned up so im sure it will work with this ones

Yea I Got Gas Pump It Works But I Still Havent Turn Car On Afraid On It

Cuz It Gots Rx8 Ngk Plugs And Not Sure It Will Be Ok,

 

Ignore the newbs, they will work fine... The only difference is that they are a hotter plug, so if you're running a turbo the hoter tip might increase your chances of detonaione. They're pretty similar to the surface fire FC plugs, so it takes a little more spark energy to jump the gap. I hope all your ignition is in great working order, because if it's not you might get quite the missfire.

 

so then what would the advantage be in using the RX-8 plugs over the BR8EQ14's? why not stick with the oem plug?

I always use a thread-chaser before threading plugs into the engine. That, along with anti-seize, makes life a lot more carefree.

 

well I got them for free thats why,, I just maid room in my garage to fit my rx3 and the GSL so im happy ..gas tank is going to be shipped from my cousin in chicago down here,,I get for free once again and i only paying shipping ,,almost forty i think ,,well thats what he said, he had it stored in shed,,he has a nice rx2 with a 5 letra engine,,JDM.. he has not run it yet since is still snowing up their, that must suck..well in know feeling i live all my life their, it SUCKS..

 

well tunning in car is stock and leaving pretty much evrything stock,, is automatic

but making it stick once i get it painted and dropped, then ill get everything

together then ill drop it in, I wish my rx3 was this simple. but with hard work

FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND IT SOUNDED GREAT ,.TURNED IT OFF THEN ON AND IT

i used to run the 2nd gen plugs in my first 12a. i will be installing another set of them in my current 12a soon....like this week.
