49, been driving '7's since I purchased my Lmt Ed. in 1980. Isn't a nut or bolt I haven't taken off and put back on.
Crunched my '79 in 96. Retrofitting the good stuff into a '85 GSL-SE I recently bought to restore.
'88 Vert is my daily driver.

46 and suffering "Rotary Madness" myself; just added another '83 with a running engine to my stable of disabled 1st gens. Had lots of fun with an RX-3 back in the '70s, always wanted an RX-7 but marriage and family kind of got in the way, but now I have 3!

32 and feeling really old! My first car was a 76 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 440ci V-8. Big, heavy, lumbering. Wrecked it in High School. Got my first RX-7 (an 82 S) from my mother when I was <ahem> 28 It was my step-father's car, and his father's before that. Yes, 3 generations! So, I prompty wrecked it. Then I got my 89 GTUs, which is still my daily driver. Then I got a running 85 GSL-SE for $300, which I used as a donor for the 82 S. This became the foundation for my entry to the Grassroots Motorsports $2001 Challenge. Sold that after breaking it in Florida (4,000 miles from home). Now, I have an 83 GS project car that I'm preping for my return trip to the GRM $2002 Challenge. Along the way, I've met interesting characters, like Rob Golden, Ari Yallon, Takaharu 'Koby' Kobayakawa, and many others. My web site's pretty popular, too....

23 (build date March '78) and on my second RX-7 (build date May '80). This is my first running '7, and is my (counts on fingers) 6th car, if you don't count the '85 Subaru RX Turbo that I owned for a couple hours. Not bad for starting driving right before my 18th birthday eh?

Eldest Brother
Finally got our computer back after adding more memory and a new giant hard-drive....Whew!
Ennaways, Cowboys, Cowgirls, Trailhands, and Wrench-hands, I'm 54 and been married to my lovely tall one for 32 years. My first car was a '62 Rambler Stationwagon. Spent many years running Volvo's. Ran and rallyed 'em all from Turtleback 544's, 122's, P 1800's, and the 140 Series. Had a Rotary RX-4 back in 1976. Presently running '85 GSL-SE, and a '85 GSL....One of my Son's has a '84 GSL-SE, and another one runs a '89 2nd gen. I also have a '67 MG Midget and a '74 Saab Sonnet.
Met and talked with many of the greats and near greats from Colin Chapman, Jim Clark, Graham Hill to Jim Hall, Paul Neuman, Bob Sharp, and Bob Tulius....As I look back, I can't believe it all, but I'm sure the best is yet to come....And moreover some of the nicest and best folks I've ever been with and talked to are you wonderful Seven people!
A big tip of the 'ol Stetson,
Denny, from the abandoned corncrib....

Just turned 21.
My first car was an 84 GSL and I loved that thing to death but needed a reliable car so I bought the Dakota 4x4 and then recently got the 85 GSL for TII rebuild and then found the GREAT condition GSL-SE and had to save it from any evildoers.
And now a couple of days ago I found my FD!!!! after searching and searching... I finally found her! *purrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
No daddy didn't buy any of them for me... all my hard earned cash.

Yhea I dont post very ofton just lay low and try to learn something new every once in a while. I stay over here in SW FW Hulen, Bryant Irvin area. My 85 is red and my 83 is silver at the moment. Both right now just have 12a's but when I get enough cash flow Iama put a 13b in the 83. The rear end is gone and the idle bar, ball joint are also shot but it still runs. I drove crazy when I was 16 and tore up doing stupid ****.

Hey all! I'm 43 and live in So. New Hampshire. Recently got into 7's kind of by accident. I was looking for a nice 240Z, and one of the guys at work had an '82 GS that didn't run, and I wanted a project and the price was right. So the '82 has been in the garage for a year or so and it was going to be done last July or so but my step-son got an '83 GSL that runs fine and is bone stock, but he has too many projects unfinished so he sold it to me cheap. I love this car! All the new parts I bought for the '82 will go in it, as will the used parts from an old friend who sold his 7 in '90 to get a Miata. He said he was looking for a "good home" for this stuff and hung onto it for 11 years....Recaro seats, Ronal 15x7 wheels, Racing Beat strut tower brace and engine torque brace. I also have RB header, Suspension Techniques springs (still in the '82), and new Falkens on the stock alloys (came on the '82, now on the GSL). Wow guess I'm rambling on now! Anyway just found this site today but looks great and I'll be looking in constantly as I have a lot of catching up to do on these remarkable rotary engined cars.

I'm 33 and this is my first RX7. 1984 GSL Silver. Her name is Suki. As in sue-key (not sucky!) and I love it! I was looking for a replacement for my 280ZX while I restored the body, (two Northeast Pa. winters totally ruined the car) and she just appeared on this car lot. I pulled in and bought the car the next day. (Hmmm, anyone see the movie CHRISTINE?)

27 here and on my 3rd rx-7. first was a 79, perfect for my high school days(man i didn't know that car could kick so much *** offroad! ), second one was a bad to tha ***** bone 84 gsl se, big street port and dellorto(tuned by someone that actually knew how)... it was so much fun wasting 5.0's with that car! got wrecked on a freeway offramp... and if i ever find the jerk that caused it found #3, 82 gs, in someones garage... been sitting there for 10years, engine locked. took her home, popped in a used 12a from an 85, lots of pieces' parts later... she's alive.....ALIVE!

im 19, about to buy my second first gen, and a replacement engine for the one i've been driving for two years now. Number one thing that has kept me in the game is the forum. I don'r know how amny times i've need to fix something on my rex and all i would have to do is hop online and come to the forum. Basically if it wasn't for all you guys i probably would have blown the thing up months ago.
