RX-Cameno Beach buggy
Well im sure a few of yall have seen my little project car and probably cried about the abomination but I assure you she is in better hands now. the previous owner was about half way to making her into a drift car but instead of doing proper rust repair he went with Plastic and plumbers caulk....the interiors was stripped and she has a limited slip with 4x110 rearend but I cant find anything on that so yea.
also the motor mounts were about one turn from falling out so yea im going to say it was a no go on regular maintenance
as of right now we finished stripping the insides of the car and tried to stop the rust which was everywhere. the back end had allot of issues with the window seals aka large rust spots on the seals so we decided to chop the back off and build a bed out of fiberglass and bondo.....it was a learning experience.
after the bed was completed we began to stiffen the suspension and give the car a redneck lift by swapping the springs and shocks on the rear with the ones from a ford mustang which worked great...the front end is a different story. the front managed to take the new springs but with my rims we are hitting the tire sidewall so next we are going to see about doing a front end conversion so we can use a set of coil overs from a RX8 in the local junkyard but I need to get some time to machine a few brackets.
The next step will involve an engine swap so the old 12A can actually go to good home in a street car and probably more welding and ammo cans
