Runs ruff

And yet another question on my 80 rx7. Well I burned out in reverse the other night and after the engine almost died. It was running rough and it was hard to keep it runing. Now when I take off, it hessitates allot and jerks and will almost die. I know the spark plug wires are very old and was wondering if that could be it, but it ran fine untill I burned out. So I dont know. I replaced the fuel filter a few weeks ago so I know that that cant be it. So any advice is appriciated. Thanks

It's a very odd problem. It doesn't make sense that the car would be that adversely affected only because you burned out (be it in reverse or forward gear). Does it do it when it's both hot and cold? Plug wires are always worth replacing, so might as well try that.

If yours "hops" like mine when you burn out, maybe you shook something off, or loose . Check some connections and what-not .
