a run down?

Hello names TwEaK i think i might be getting my first FB its a 79 foor $500 running complete had a wide body kit white 5spd now i have $2100 to spend take away $500 i got $2600 i was thinking of taking out the 12A and throwing in a 13bT with a frount mount could someone give me a write up or tell me EXACTLY what to do on how to do the complete swap?i did search but cant find the full write up

13b swap should be about the same as a 13bt with some minor common-sense more-****-to-fit because of the snail and IC.

Get with www.rotaryshack.com. Robert there can give you all the info you need on what parts etc, and he can provide you with them, especially if you want to go blow through carby...

Must warn you, though... his shipping takes a while. He is, however VERY knowledgeable on turbo rotaries.


another option would be to turbo your 12a or even supercharge.


If interested in supercharging, check out www.atkinsrotary.com

I've ridden in both S/C and turbo Rx-7's... for the simplicity and the money, I'll take an S/C anyday, but if you spend some more money, you can get a bit more power out of a turbo. sometimes a LOT more.

What I have seen is that a s/c gets better gas mileage, though if you're daily driving it... it's all in what you want.


Do some searching and read the FAQ on the main 1st gen page. There's a lot of info out there.

thanks so far im still waiting he wants $1700 for the car plus i would have to pay for shipping which is 850 and i only got 2200 =/ so i need to come up with $350 b4 he sells it to someoen else and it is a very nice car i think with that wide body kit on it it looks beatiful i only like 1st gens with wide body kit sucks they dont have independent suspension.....
