Rsx...wtf????

How is it that my stock 81 can beat a new RSX in a race I have beaten two now. Theyve got like 60 more HP than I do and never think that im gonna keep up. Everybody i race just shakes their head and then i either smoke them or am right beside them. Keep in mind i don't race people i know im gonna lose to. Just Civics and CRX's and stuff like that, cuz they think that their $300 exhaust system actualy does something for them.

driving skill, lets face it some people just suck *** at driving.

its a FWD car. a fwd car with decent HP makes it hard to launch. they dump the clutch and spin out for a wile, then they dont know when to shift. either shift to early or to late. and lose time that way.

example: 2 of my friends raced a 91 civic Hatch and a 95 civic hatch. with just basic intake and exhaust. the 91 beat the 95 by 2 cars in each of the 3 races. the 95 swaped drivers to a more experianced driver. and beat the 91 by 3 cars then by like 4 1/2 cars.

just my $0.02

Was it a type S? If it was when it hits third it should be able to rape you. I was almost even with one that I raced until he hit third and then just took off.

I've raced one of those RSX's in a quarter mile with a stock port and he won by .2 of a second, that wasn't my best run though

I have a friend with a Type S and all he has is intake and exhaust. He G-teched it today and it said 14.2 in the 1/4. He is going to take it to the track tomorrow to see how accurate the G-Tech is. Before he had the intake he ran 14.4 at the track. Those cars are pretty quick. LAter

Ive raced two non type "S" and beat both of them by quite a bit. I raced one type S, and as someone before said, I paced it till about 3rd and he just pulled on me and was gone.

Ya, forsure not type-s's as you stated. Maybe auto base models.

Those type-s's are quick, from a roll I didn't pull too bad on one with intake and "maybe" a 50 shot. From a stop by the end of 2nd I had him by about 3 cars or so.

And who are you to say anything? if the motors are trash, then why are the still in production with the RX-8. Mazda is with ford right? shouldnt ford know better than to produce an engine that responds so well to boost? I can guarantee that i can find a "unreliable and slow" 1.3L that can dominate anything that can be done to that taurus.
