Round tail lights?
Well it looks more classic sportscar to me. Mark, I centered the holes with the bulbs, but I see what you mean. The holes could be spread a little further apart, possibly negating removal of that stupid little square too! I didnt do the turn signal yet, this was just a quickie idea I wanted to try.
don't be so quick to discount those reflectors, those small squares are the only reflectors on the car, and could save your butt. i don't like 'em either. I've got several pairs of taillights. i havn't been working on them lately, but i'm fabing. some real ' crystal' 'altezza' style
tails with chrome, red lens, yellow lens, all staggerd and
behind the clear outter 'stock' lens cover(s) with ' i should add'the small squares removed. need more refining, i have all the materials, just gotta get hot and do'em.

I think the little red square gotta go. Probably use Geoff's idea on that one.

what do the stock lights look like? I've never actually seen the back end of my car with the lights on at night.
Anyways, that actually looks pretty cool, and I'm usually not a fan of modding lights of any sort.

A can of black spray paint, disassemble the tails, remove the red and yellow lens, find something 41/2 inch's round, place that round template on the red lens,or contact paper, cut 4 round templates 41/2 inchs , stick on red lens where you want them and spray all the red,
black on 1 side, same with the yellow lens.

looks good, but has anyone ever done that mod with horizontal lights? you know, where the light would be red horizontally? just seems that it would flow a little better with the lines on the back of the first gen.
just a thought.

Actually I used a roll of 4" black plastic tape (like electrical tape). I cut 3" holes. Mark, youll never fit a 4 1/2 hole there, the red panel is only 3 1/2 tall. And on the reflectors, if you lllok youll see that Geoff just put a clear reflector from a bicycle so it still reflects.
Yea I was shooting for the S5 look. Its very classy IMHO.

yea round is neat, but it doesn't fit any of the body lines, shapes, or dimentions, they're just too off. It makes it look like a civic trying to get in round lights...
