rotors and damage..

what kinda damage can rotors take and still be fucntional i have 3 which have the very corner of the apex grove knicked "only on one side" its like 1/16" of the corner edge
in my opinion i thought maybe i could sand it back to spec and the side seals and apex seal should still function any opinions or even photos of damaged rotors still useable would be sweet
i think me mum knocked them when they got moved

iv tryed to get pictures but my camera just dosnt focus that close

just to show how clean i got them

clearance the rotors with a feeler guage..as long as you dont get more than .0045 your ok..
anything over will put much strain on the seal in the center (longways)..and some compresion will seep underneith.

jsut so you don't look around, the macro button is usually represented by a little tulip shape button usually found on one of the button or in the features

Yep, he's building a 6 rotor monster,lol.
Blwfly , you were smart to leave Oregon during the winter. I'm still in Ca and probably won't go back to Oregon until End of Feb or March.

Atleast shes got enough places for oil, lol. Don't forget to drill and pin the e-shafts together so they won't come apart when the HP dyno reads 1000Hp,lol.

1000hp...the 3 rotor 20b can hit 1000hp...so I'd say were looking at 2000hp at least, unless you were thinking about it with a stockport

I think you should be ok. One of the corners on my rotor was knicked so that the apex seal would not fit into its groove. I just filed and sanded the bump a little to make it fit :-P Oh well, it works.

I haven't measured the compression- but i'm sure it's fine. It runs real strong.
