Rotaryshack 1980 blowthrough Wreck

remember this car.....well here is the result of what a 230RWHP turbo rx7 with stock suspension, small tires at 10 pounds of boost at a high rate of speed......gets CUT OFF!!!! the driver of the rx7was found not at fault but still,,is out 1 cleeeean turbocharged 80 rx7....
he has already purchaced another rx7(pics to come soon)wich we will be swapping the turbo motor into......

sooo the moral of this post is when you have a vehicle with 200+ rwhp in a 1,900 pound car you need to be carfull how you drive as well as responsible with speed as well as always be aware of your surroundings when driving....

Damn, another 1st gen bites the dust.
What did they do? Slam the brakes and try to swerve?

Turbos are fine, but it seems like sacrilege to put one in an SA. Almost as bad as a 13B.

Hell yeah..it was a very clean car and fast...I drove it on the freeway and enjoyed every minute of it...Then I realized that I have to bring it back to the shop.

it can be saved, i don't think it is totaled. a new quarter section and some inner sheet metal work and the car can be as good as new. i would think the work would be pricey though. it may be better to get another clean SA or FB and swap the driveline and its associated components. sad to see that pic though.

No problem, I was going to buy it but I had just gone to frisco to check out a car that hadn't worked out a few weeks prior. I'm glad he got a good car.

Anyone have a SA with a good left rear quarter panel they'd be willing to cutout for him?

How in the hell did you completely damage the corner but leave the bumper and wheel undamaged?? Just get a hammer and pound it out from the inside

I remember that one. isnt it the one that got you banned?

great ideas you have there!! anyting to help stabalize the car will help, as far as braking goes, as long as you use some good pads you will be fine....
