I gotta raise the "hear/say" BS flag on this one. I was at my local Porsche/Audi dealer picking up parts when I leafed through a Porsche "goodie" catalog. And what was in there you ask? Wheel spacers! And they looked very much like the ones that are sold for our cars. If they were so dangerous I seriously doubt that Porsche would put their name on them and offer 'em for sale.

I'd have to agree. I've seen many cars race with spacers like the set offered by cp racing. Also, I know people who use them to change their tread width(correct term???)

I found a conversion kit for the hubs without having to replace the entire drive train, it is on ebay and it is custom made to fit 4 lug to larger 4 lug setup.
