riken wheels?

Just wondering if anyone knows more about these wheels. I'm looking at picking up a set locally for my gsl, i know they are 15s, and i want to get them as a set of race wheels for road racing (also picking up a set of diamond 13s for autox) Just wondering what kinda wheels are riken, whether they are typically lightweight, how strong the wheels are, and so on. I know it's hard to tell without exactly looking at the model of the wheels, but just wondering if they are a quality manufacturer.

Thanks,

Alvin

Ive had a couple of sets of Rikens. They are good wheels, pretty stong...similar to an Enkei Mesh 92.

They're sort of like a generic BBS. Take that as you will.

These are supposedly 15" Rikens, but there are no markings to prove it. They are 4x114.3 and were on the car when I bought it. I'm not sure how many different models there are. Its tough finding any info on these. Let me know if you find a source.

I own a set of the Riken Mesh rims they are only 13"s but the only way I can tell what they are is by the center caps other than that I dont see anything that is distinctive to these wheels.... I dont know your right theres not much info on them so I cant even tell if yours are Rikens or not

If your talking about the rims on your avatar though those are panasport rims with the centers painted black. I bought a set of Panasports for my '79 and they looked great. those wheels saw a lot of track time, so I would say with the way I drive they should be very strong

Check and see if your rims are on here if not I guess I'm wrong

No, i'm not talking about the rims on my car right now (avatar). I am picking up a set of rikens from a forum member, in fact, pictures are here https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ighlight=riken

I want to use it as a set of track wheels for road racing. I'm also picking a set of 13" diamond racing for autox. Just wondering if the rikens will hold up to track abuse...

Oh yeah! those are rikens all right, same mesh as mine! Trust me, like I said I've run the stock alloy's and the panasports and I still love my Rikens. There isnt mush info on them since there so hard to find. I dont know its more about personal preference, but for used rims mine are awesome.
