Rewiring Interior

So i got bored to night and started to rewire the car....and whole cow, there is alot of wires. Alot of them dont even seem to be used.

Any one else done this and found any tricks out or anything??

Oh yeah there is 2 connectors behind the drivers seat, on that is black and connected to the rear wiring harness, the other is green and connected to nothing, so what is the green one ???

its lots of fun let me tell you that.. i will post pics when ive gotten further into the project, but what i basically did was take out all unneccisary wires. then as i went through i started taking unnecissary wires out. and then when i got to the important stuff i traced how each circuit worked that way i dont have to bother leaving any of the stock wiring and i can rout it anywhere i want.. aka not through the firewall but around behind the fender so the wires arent seen in the engine bay,, its gonna look really clean and by knowing my wiring i wont have a problem repairing it down the road if something happens...

i find the manual to be a confusing waste of time. and im eliminating all but the fusebox as far as electrical controll units go.. ill just have to find another way to hook up the winshield wiper speed controlls. and flashers which shouldnt be hard.. i think im saving about 15 lbs of wires and controll boxes that wont be used...

good luck!!

oh if you plan on using your stock gauges i recomend going through all the circuits on there with a 6 v source and seeing which needle moves or what light comes on... the manual will not help you with this trust me... i have it completely mapped for a 83 12a cluster if anyone needs it i can probably scan it in..

YAH!!!! can in get that mapped out from ya! that would kick ***.

See its ideas like using a 6 volt source to test that im asking for, cause i never thought about that.!!!

Thanks for the idea.
