retards tried to steal my car. pics

happend at work this morining. they ddn't take a thing... not cds or tools. but they left the car in a near undrivable state.

luckily I work at an auto/hardware store, so i was able to get it driveable.

but now i Ihave to replace the locks... I cant afford new ones, so ill have to go junkyard style. this is a huge hassle. and no, my insurance does not cover vandalism.

I'm waiting for someone to steal my truck. They'd pay me more than it's worth.

Sorry about your loss.

The door locks for all FB's are interchangable, but you'll have to get a locksmith to re-do the tumblers so that one key works for all of the car's locks.
The ignition lock is also interchangable, but the ignition SWITCH behind the lock must be from a similarly-equiped '84 or '85 RX7 (ie: if yours is a GSL, the switch from a GS won't work because there's no lead for your power options. I found this out years ago the hard way).
But most likely all the ****** damaged was the lock. The ignition switch itself is probably fine.
If you're looking for used parts, try Chris in North Vancouver. You can pm him on the BC rx7 forum. He goes by the forum name "myse". If he doesn't have the locks you need, he more than likely knows somebody who does.

Either way, if I ever catch anyone tryin to break into my car I'll rip their arms off.

Good luck on the repairs, I TOTALLy wish I would have bought that already, but alas, as you mentioned yourself...$$$$$

was it parked on your property? If so, your homeowners insurance will cover it under general property damage.
