1995 KIA Sportage 4x4. #L5a0069, teeth count are 40 and 9 = 4.44. So I guess US models are not 4.88. In addition, its not a direct bolt-on. I bought the entire 3rd member for $60. I should have known that the only thing useable are the pinion and gears, and they are open diffy.

For comparison purposes, the one on the right is a GSL-SE.

I think he sold it to that dude from Guatemala. anaywyas, I didnt make it clear when I said not bolt on. The splines are larger than the FB or pre-81 axles.

And thanks for the hook up Ryan (1984SE). Ricardo will do the swap for me and its going to the RX-3.

I have a 84 85 GSL (BiG AXLES) REAR the R & P [My R & P has 59/15] is no good in it. Is there any 3rd members [pumpkin chunk] or rears that I can use for my car I have a 1982 MAzda RX7. I would like to just be able to bolt it in without a lot of hassle and money. I will be going to the Junk Yard. I would like to add more gears to this if possible. So is there a rear end or a chunk I can get from another one that will work?

Anybody out there have any idea on this?

Thanks in advance.

i got a quick question ......im running a turbo set up on my se.
im running the 4.10 gearing my best times were 11.8x

would going to the 4.44 be worth doing? or would it make building boost hard?
with my current setup if i dont launch hard in first i cant build boost.

but the idea of a 4.44 in 2nd gear and 3rd and 4th.........it just sounds so tempting

has anyone run gears that high with boost?
