Respeed...

Just put my order in for an airbox cover from these guys.

http://home.comcast.net/~respeed/products.html

I ordered the one with the rotor design. What do you think?

Yeah, now that I have ordered I think the M looks a little cleaner. It was a toss up. I'll post pics when I get it.

I found this over at the Backyard Mechanics Forum . I think I'm the first buyer since he posted the announcement. Says there are more things to come....cul.

MRC Manufacturing...

Just wanted to post a bit about my experience with MRC Manufacturing. No, I don't know them...not affiliated...he didn't ask me to post this...etc.

bwaits was nothing, but, professional. I ordered the rotor design air cleaner top. It arrived today packed well. Comes with everything to install it (including the "rod", "dogbone" and cap instead of the old style wingnut). I'll post pictures later.

(Can't find my digital camera.)

My rotary breaths easier now!

Thank you for the complements Adam. I am glad you liked the product. Thanks to all of you who have made purchases thus far.

You will find we will treat our ReSpeed products the same as we do the Indy car and ALMS series parts we make. We will also treat the ReSpeed customers with the same respect we do our other customers.

Keep a watch on the web site for many new things to come.

it would be sweet if you got it powdercoated the same blue color as the stock airbox...yeah that would be nice...

That's an awesome idea.

The longer you own a "stock" 1st gen, the more it looks funny with something other than the blue air airbox.

I would really like to get rid of the airbox altogether, but, I'm not ready to remove the emissions just yet.

bwaits, aren't you the guy who posted the teaser pic of the 3-coil bracket, then later posted the program but never actually offered to sell it?

Dude... listen.. if people are buying air cleaner tops from you, they will SOO buy the coil brackets dammit! Just put them up on the website beside the cleaner lids.

I *still* want one of those brackets, but your non-comittance to something for which you already had the CNC program and the ability to machine worries me slightly. It's probably just me being paranoid as I ususally am, but I'll have to see.

Jon

Edit: posting late at night makes me seem like such a freak sometimes. And what would be even better than those air cleaner lids, is the same lid, but cut the size of the "BONEZ" intake kit.. I'm running that for more airflow, but it looks so cheap just being a round piece of sheetmetal.. I'd love to have a nice thick rotor-emblemed top but still keep the extra 1" gap for airflow that the bonez gives!

Yes, I posted a picture of my own bracket for my own project months back. At the time, I was working for another company and did not have two minutes to spare of free time. Three months ago I purchased my own shop. This is why you will now start seeing products offered. The coil brackets are coming. They are in the design stage. More stuff to come.

BTW, our air cleaner lid is the size of the filter not the housing. It does allow for the 1" more air all the way around.

nopistons83,

Any chance of getting some pictures of the lid installed for our web site?

Cool. Expect an order from me very soon. My '83 has a damaged lid, and that rotor design is just the right touch. Gotta get the car tagged first.
