The reason I'm asking this is, on the track I seemed to get overtaken when shifting to 3rd while the other guy is still in 2nd making his best torque, leaving me spooling up in 3rd.
Just trying out new ideas on how to get a edge.
Thanks for the input.

the old school rib cage trannys are STRONG... lots better than a stock fb. and why got with a 4 speed, my friends repu tops out about 90 with the 4 speed, get a 5 speed.... i have 1 i need to rebuild(no tail housing or front bell housing) so the bearings are al rusted to crap. when i get that redone im dropin it into his repu.
http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/tranchrt.txt there u go... a better choice of tranny would be a RX-3SP tranny... 5 speed, rib case, its the transmission that came in my repu, but now i have a 2nd gen transmission in it...
