Replacing Kaminari Air dam. Help me find a new one.
Hey peoples.
Most of you have probably read the thread about how my car was smashed up in a parking lot by some big *** Dodge Ram.
The front kit was torn off the car, and the driver's side fender dented in...all just from his tire.
So, I take it to the bodyshop today. These people must just not get it. Everytime my car gets damaged, they say "Let's order you a new one of these."
If the humor there is lost.....its because they don't make this kit anymore, and haven't for 15 years.
Once the person understood that, he started saying, "Well, is there a air dam you like better?"
They mentioned 12 hours just to rebuild the front air dam. WHAT DO I CARE? It's not my money. The guy who hit me is paying for it. Saturday morning, I had the Kaminari piece, Saturday night, I didn't.
Well anyways....who still makes air dams? I'd really prefer to have mine rebuilt, but maybe it might be better to have them buy me a new one.
Does anyone make a urethane air dam? Anything similar to my Kaminari piece? Try to post pics and prices if possible on some interesting looking air dams.
I'm not going to have my 7 for a few days now, and I'm already having withdrawals.

The first red one in Moses' post is teh same kit i have. Most of all the air dams are the Mariah style. Wings west... Erebuni... they are all teh same... www.selectmaz.com.au/ is the only place i have seen originals besides the xenon ones.

I'm open to suggestions, but not too fond of the square bottom air dams, like Mariahs.
It doesn't really FIT the car....whereas I really thought mine went well with the lines of the body.

I like this one, though I know nothing about the quality of the product, or their customer service. I want it for my car though.

Cody, truth is I dont think theyd be required to replace your exact one if its no longer availible. Sucks I know, but thats the way it is. Get another one on his nickle, keep your old one and fix it on your own, then swap and sell.

Yeah, I'm going to try to get them to fix it. I heard they have to make a mold to repair it, and I'll try to buy the mold from them when they're done. Once I get it down decently, I'll set something up in my Ebay store to sell copies.
