replacing alternator pully

i replaced my alternator with one from a 2nd gen, but its pully is too small. i want to replace it. i think a right sized belt would be hard to find. i cant get the bolt off, its on there too tight. and i cant stop the pully from turning with the bolt well....anyone have any good ideas?

also, should i find a belt thats the right size? i just have one belt. it goes from the e shaft, by the oil pump, and to the alternator. if i get one thats a little small, can i just lower it on that angle thing so it fits tightly??

That will do it. Took mine off the other day to put a double pully on.

ON a side note. Just go to the parts store and get a shorter belt. Put it on in the parking lot and change it if it is not short enough.

Ok, why not put on the pulley from the orginal alternator. Impact will not that right off, I would avoid using a smaller diameter pulley, since the alternator will be making more revolutions per RPM. Thus robbing you of HP and over running the alternator. GO larger pulley if you run at high RPMs like in racing, but do not go smaller that OEM diameter.

My 2 cents.
