Removing Stuck RB Intake

I was working on my SA and I removed my Holley so I could rebuild it. I tried to remove my intake but the damn thing is stuck. I tried to pry it off but no dice. Any advice or tips? I will post pics when I get home.

Did you take out all four bolts AND THE TWO NUTS? Most people miss the two nuts on the underside of the manifold and are beating the crap out of it, trying to figure out why it won't come off. Make sure you got all 6 fasteners out first, and then we'll go from there...

So did you find the two 'hidden' nuts? Or did you pry away and break something?

Okay fellas, I got my intake off.... Turns out both my coolant rings were busted. Iam not sure what year my motor is cuase it looks like the ports on the intermediate plate are higher than the ports on the manifold. I tried posting pics but Iam kinda slow.

It's fine that the manifold ports are smaller than the engine ports. It's a good thing, actually, to reduce reversion.

Thanks for the input Jeff, whats reversion? Iam going to remove the header and spray MMO in there and try un-seizing that bad boy. At the moment Iam just trying to get a list of what I need to get it going.

I was working on my car and I noticed that I don't have a FMOC or a beehive. Is this normal for older engines? My radiator is shot so Iam replacing it with a gsl-se one can I put a 79-82 FMOC while I am putting in the new radiator?

What??? No oil cooler? There should be a FMOC if it is an SA. One the front cover, is the oil capped or is it connected to the oil hose at the rear of the engine?

You have a couple options on the rad. You can get a shorty one (you can get them with more rows than stock) and mount an 79-82 FMOC underneath or you could go with the tall style rad (83-85) and get a GSL-SE FMOC with the correct lines (the SE ones are longer). The GSL-SE FMOC would mount in front of the tall rad. For max cooling, the tall rad w/ the SE FMOC is probably the better option. However, the short rad with the early FMOC will be a little easier and probably cheaper.

Honestly Iam not sure what you mean about the oil being capped. I have a short rad out off my old 82. So I think Iam going to try to find a fmoc out off a 79-82. What hoses should I run? Iam considering buying the ss one off RB. Do I need the GSL-SE ones since Iam using a 13B? Do I have I have to buy the 12A ones since Iam running a 12a radiator and fmoc?

Well, you said that you didn't have a FMOC, so I was wondering how the lines that should go to the FMOC were ran. A picture would help. Anyway, if you use the shorty rad and 79-82 FMOC, then the 12A SS lines should be what you want. The SE ones would work, but they would be a bit too long.
