Talking Removal of animal hair from 1st gen carpet

Bought a GSLSE a while back. The carpet has enough animal hair in it to be an annoyance. There is some animal hair on the roof upholstry as well. Other than taking it to a detail shop to have it cleaned, what would be the most efficient, cost effective (other than a whole bunch of duct tape or a vaccum) method of removal?

Thanks!

I Shop Vac, the tape roll, and oersistence removed it all. I sent pictures before and after to the original owner just so she could see what it was supposed to look like, without coming right out and calling her a...

Spend $2.99 and get yourself a pet hair/lint remover roller thingy. Works every time.

3M makes something called a Pet Roller. It's easy to use and gets the majority of the hair out. Then just use a vacuum to get the rest out.
