Reinstalling tranny
So I took one of my trannys out to put another one in and I am having a hellof time getting it to go in. One of my friends told me that sometimes the clutch disc can slide so it isn't centered anymore making it hard(impossible?) to put the tranny back in.
Does anyone have any advice they can offer?

While it is *possible* for the clutch disc to slip, it is *unlikely* unless you happened to rest the trans against it while pulling the old one, or attempting to install the replacement.
Run down to your local parts store, and buy or rent a clutch alignment tool. If the clutch is still aligned properly, you likely just didn't have the trans at the exact angle needed to get the input shaft thru the disc, and into the pilot bearing. This can be tricky, but once the right angle is acheived, with a properly aligned clutch, it will *almost* fall into place.

yeah, you need the clutch alignment tool. On new clutch, I usually spray brake cleaner on the spline to remove excess paint and slighty sand it down to remove any roughness. Then slide it back/forth in the tranny's input shaft.
now for installation. Forget the floor jack idea. Tie rope on the tailshaft and tie the other end of rope inside the car (a piece of piece across teh shifter tunnel). A little trick that helps also is to cut the head on a tranny bolt and use it as a guide. Be sure to hack saw the end so you can use a screw driver to remove it. Then bench press the tranny and use your knee to lift the tailshaft end up to find the right angle.
Be sure to have the bolts ready.

I got my tranny connected using the rope method (thanks wackyracer) but when trying to screw the bolt into the threaded hole on the drivers side for the Tranny mount I found out that it's stripped.
What should I do to fix this?

Glad I can help my young rotorhead. (bet you wont get a real answer if you asked this question in the west forum )
Get a thread chaser or re-tap that ****. I should have mentioned to dip those bolts in a solvent tank (gasoline works great for me while NOT smoking ) and then inspect each thread. OR grab the newer and cleaner bolts from 2nd gens.
