Red tape on door?
My door
Ray Green's door
I have a piece of red plastic tape on the inside of my driver's door on my 84 gsl se that I thought might have been put there by a previous owner. Never paid it much attention until I saw the same tape on Ray Green's door in the "Door rubbers" post here.I have posted pictures of both doors here. Both cars happen to be silver with red upholstery..Anyone here know the meaning of the tape? Factory recall?

The decal is actually shown in the parts catalogue (no longer available, for what it's worth).
In Australia, we have the same sticker, but on the right hand door (our drivers' side).
A friend of mine and I had a bunch of these reproduced for our restorations. Easy enough to do as it's just a matter of selecting the right decal stock and getting it cut to the right size and shape.
