I have a '85 gs and there are a few problems I could use some help on.
When I turn off the car it goes, "POP!" All three cats are hollow and the gaskets are all sealed properly.
The wheels squeak at low speeds like in a parking lot occassionaly.
Sometimes when shifting or pushing in the clutch to stop, I hear a clunk. Motor or tranny mounts are shot. Where can I get these new?
The engine idles fine for about 30-40 seconds then it gets very rough and drops a couple hundred rpm.

quite a few problems. Anyways, if there are people out there who are willing to explain some of these problems, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks.

 

the squeaking could be from warped rotors.

 

The rotors look fairly jacked up but they don't vibrate.

 

That's probably caused by a fault shutter valve. The best thing to do is disable it. Look in the 1st gen FAQ for info on disabling the shutter valve or a do a search on those words. There's lot's of info about it.
