Rebuilt RB Holley, re-ran fuel lines, now 12a runs like hell.
So i've searched for the past ~1.5 hours, and have been wrenching trying to figure out what's going on with my 12a. Here are a list of engine mods.
??BP??12a w/ 7k-10k miles
RB Holley 465 4bbl
MSD Coils
Magnacore 10mm wires
e-fan
RB header
RB Duals
Grounding Kit
Fresh NGKBR8EQ14's
Holley Blue pump
-6 Lines
Aeromotive FPG
factory return lines running back to tank
Holley FPR set to 6psi (running)
So here's the issue, and what i've done to try and fix it. When she first fired after the rebuild, I had to keep her floored to achieve 3krpm. My mom showed up in the garage, and I had her hold the carb at full throttle while I came around to work with the carb. I adjusted the mixture with the black plastic thing on the front that reads "lean" around with and has arrows to tell you which direction to turn it to lean out the carb. I finally got her to rev to 7k after she warmed up, but she REFUSES to idle. I set my idle where it was before I rebuilt the carb (fully seat the idle screw then turn it out 4 full turns), and the damn thing STILL won't idle. Then I thought that it sounded like it was missing, so I checked my spark, and I had spark on all 4 plugs . I checked to see if I have 3 puffs per rotor, and I do, so my seals are in tact. What else could it be? The way that I checked my plugs was to pull the trailing lead off of the coil, and then attach a spark plug to each of the leading wires. Spark on both. I then swapped to the trailing coil, and checked the trailing wires. Same thing, spark on both. I have no idea what it could be. I'll try and get her re-started and have someone shoot a video of my exhaust note so I can post it on google or something like that.

here is the other video. both videos were 1.5-3k, with the highest spike to ~4500.
Thanks for looking..

I had a 465 kit on my stockport 12A. Is the motor getting enough fuel? Most BP motors I've read about had a 600 on it. Did you check the bowl levels to have sufficient fuel? Just thought I would throw out what I know about the Holley.

BTW I used a Holley rebuild kit and replaced the floats with brass floats.

yes. I replaced the floats with brass floats, and didn't adjust them (like a noob) before I tried to fire her the first time. It's kind of dangerous when you're shooting 4" gas fountains out of the vent ports on the top of the carb. I adjusted the floats so the levels are at the bottom of the sight ports.

That black dial you are adjusting is for the choke plate. It's to help start the car up and idles down after it reaches running temperature via the copper tubing going to the exhaust pipe. You sure you don't have an intake leak somewhere?

You need to adjust the air/fuel screws on the sides of the front metering plate. Perhaps you forgot to install them on the rebuild. Is any fuel coming out of the vent tubes? I agree with the carb being too small for a bridgeport. My 650 is too small for mine, the 870 works so much better up top just needs to get dialed in right.

Another thing, are the float bowls supposed to be running with the long-axis of the car, or parallel with the axis of the axles? I re-installed my carb with the float bowls how they were before (running parallel with the axis of the axles), but now that 84stock has said that there is a "front" metering plate, i'm second guessing what orientation the carb should be mounted in.

If rebuilding the carb is the only thing you done, and it now runs crappy, recheck your work. Both the install of the carb, and the internal carb work. You may find something that was not done quite right. Even pro's can put something together wrong.
Oh, for the record, the holley carb sits sideways on a rotary.

The fuel bowls should be pointing to each of the front fenders. May look wrong compared to sitting on a v8, but that's the way it goes, otherwise one rotor gets no fuel until the secondaries open. Pretty hard to get this wrong though, it'll only mount one way. Something sounds wrong, like a power valve left off or jets not installed. Open it up, see if one of the jets weren't tight enough and fell out, I made that mistake once.
