Rebuilt carb, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM!?!?

I just rebuilt my 1981 nikki carb. I soaked everything in a solvent tank, reassembled it perfectly, and i've got no fuel coming out of the jets in the carb. The sight glasses show fuel in the carb, and i disconnected the main line to verify it, now what's the problem? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

I thought this was a common problem with fresh rebuilds. Something about the finish on the needle valves sticking, keeping the fuel from flowing? Take a look in the FAQ, I think that's where I read it.

Good luck...

I was looking into the carb, while someone else was hitting the throttle. NO GAS! It's so damn frustrating. My car was runnin like **** before i rebuilt it, and if the way it was running from the fuel that i put into the carb is any indication, it should run like a champ. It doesn't start, besides for when it burns off the little fuel i dump down the carb. Thanks Carl, more help is desperately needed.

Does the accel pump squirt when the throttle is opened? Is the vent solenoid hooked up and working?

Does the vent solenoid have anything to do with the fuel coming from the jets? THERE IS NO FUEL COMING FROM THE JETS. i put in a new accel pump.
