rebuild coming sooner than wanted

well i got her home to ft bragg nc and im losing coolant. i did the block weld trick and she is still leaking i dont know if its the over flow tank or not or what is it so when i get that lil bit of extra money from being deployed my and my buddy are going to rebuild her. im going to port the eng, change over from efi to dellorto carb, pineapple sleeves, and afwe other things. im praying the guy that had her b4 me didnt overheat it and **** up one of the rotor housings or both.

i know that this is going to sound bad what can i reuse other the normal like rotors, housing , irons. you know internals i guess i better go with all new sense she got 148000 miles on her where is a good place for high quility oil o-ring seals and water jacket seals? this is going to be my 1st rebuild and my buddys 2nd or 3rd anything that i should know b4 i get started

thank you in advance

Charles, use the mazda OEM stuff, almost every thread I read aobut members trying non-OEM stuff ends in failure for some reason or another. hurley seals, RA seals and one other, all seam to have problems, and when it comes to the "O" rings, some other guys on no-pistons tried some generic "O" rings and they melted felt sorry for them. just go with the OEM mazda and you won't have to worry about if the $10.00 you initially saved is going to waste you another 300.00 when you have to break it back down again.
