Rearended someone in my poor Fly Yellow GSL :( Pictures :'(

Was on a main road doing about 45 (speed is 40). One car stopped from about that to 15mph to make a very fast turn onto a side street, car behind it made a sudden stop, and I tried to stop but locked up my brakes and left a 45ft skidmark and rearended the car in front of me.
I left a headlight imprint in the bumper of the crapass hyundai i hit.

However my car was pretty wounded.
The bumper is in pretty decent condition cept for some paint chips. But the bumper pushed back some metal.
Bent back the front of the left front fender.
Bent up the left side of the piece of metal in front of the hood (whats this called?)
Bent the **** out of the headlight lid.
Totally fucked my left headlight.
Headlight put a 1/2" dent in my hood, enough to break the paint, and pushed it out of alignment so that my hood wont close now.
****!@$
Anyways, seems like no frame damage at all, drives fine, cept i think my tire is a bit weird. Most likely baldspotted.

Gotta go to the junkyard after next payday and get a fender, metal piece in front of hood, headlight lid, and headlight assembly. Then paint em Krylon yellow for the time being.

Will be a while before I can afford a proper paintjob for my sexmachine FB.
Maybe I could do a cowl duct in my hood since itll be painted....

Front valence?

Sorry to hear of your accident. Sounds exactly like the one I got into when I was 19.... that " all of sudden traffic stopped" story... It doesn't look too bad, just need some body parts and paint. As long as you're ok, everything else is secondary.

No, as long as the person I hit is ok. Everything else is secondary, and yeah its not too bad, just a huge ****** pain in the ***. I'm keeping my car fof the road until i get a new working headlight and my hood to close properly.
Should be like 2 weeks till I can get around to changing everything seeing how I work 7am-6:30pm mon-fri and 7-3 on saturday.

Ouch,

Its a painful reminder of my accident 2 days after getting it out of the bodyshop in mint condition.

My damage was pretty minor in comparison, just a cracked up bumper cover, dented fender, and a little misalignment with my HEADER panel (word you were looking for).

Oddly, driving the car a bit has seemed to align itself on it's own. It's only like 4mm off between gaps of the headlights and hood on either side now.

Yours is more bent than mine.....you may need to take it to a shop for body aligning, or just strap on some tow straps to a tree and back up til you pull it yourself.

Sucks to hear another custom AZ FB had to suffer.....good luck, bro.

Node,

That's one of the sweetest modifications I've seen in a while! Can you do a how to on that? I'd love to hook my Rex up like that!

J/k. That sucks that she got messed up like that. It could've been a lot worse though. Looks like it will be a fairly straightforward process to get her going again. Just takes little time, and $$$. Good luck Node!

man, that sucks, but thats not nearly as bad as it could be. My sister asspacked a pickup in my dads SA. The hood is broken off 2 of the 4 bolts on the latches, and it bent up in a triangle. The pickup sliced gashes in the headlights and valence as well. It does not look pretty.

Damaging a Yellow RX should be illegal in any way shape or form; and if it involves a hyundai, the korean car owner should be sentanced to certain slow and paintufl death. Yellow RXs are #1.

nope, no engine/frame/suspension damage, dunno how much for all of the metal and headlight assembly, im thinking around $1000 to get everything painted to match (painted seperately then put on and panel aligned)
So, a lot of money for me, ill be ghetto and spraypaint the panels for a while.

Oh well.

Don't worry, that will buff right out.

My car was T-boned Saturday night; still waiting for the claim adjuster and pursuing bullshit. I'll post the pics of my damage soon, but I think you are okay.

Your "weird tire" is probably alignment. After my accident I have some serious toe out.
Hopefully they will not total my car.
