Rear wiper question

Power is fine up to the end of the hatch strut (I even bought a new one to get a clean switch) switch is fine, and motor has continuity - but the rear wiper doesn't work.

Is there a delay module or motor suppression module hidden somewhere that may be pooched, and cause the non-working wiper problem?

I had that happen once, opened up the thing and it was full of water and rusted. Still unsure exactly where the water came from but it was in there. Try hooking up the motor straight to the battery though. If t doesn't work from there time for a new one.

like I said, the motor is getting power and has continuity - it just won't spin. And it's a new motor, not a rusted one. Yours probably had a bad grommet around the wiper arm base.

So Manntis, I take it you are a Regina Spektor fan as well.

And as far as the problem is concerned. Is there any possible way that it could be that the wiper blade isn't connecting correctly to the connection arm that makes it wipe?

The only other thing I could think of is that you got a faulty motor. Perhaps I am just misunderstanding the problem, which wouldn't be unlikely considering that it is 4:40 a.m. here and I'm running on little to no sleep.

nope - It doesn't work with the wiper arm off either.

I had the same problem. I had continuity as well, but, no power to the motor. I took some 000 steel wool and some toothpicks etc and shined up every connection point. I even took the switch apart and cleaned it up inside. It started working and has ever since. Don't know exactly where the problem was.

Yes - as I said, I have strong power to the motor and the motor has continuity.

I even took the other motor out of Pamela and tried it, and that one didn't work either... which is why I'm thinking there may be a stealthy motor suppression module hidden somewhere in the wiring, or whatever 'parks' the wiper at the bottom might be malfunctioning.
