Rear wiper

So I have my 83 GSL, with the rear wiper. And it is missing the power cable. Dealer doesn't have one, and the local junkyard is lacking in first gens. Any thoughts on where I can pick one up? If no one has any thoughts on where to get one, any thoughts on how I can make one? I am a big fan of fabbing my own parts where none otherwise exsist.
Thanks

What part of the power cable? Before the strut to the motor?

I have this problem describing it in that I have never seen how exactly it connects. I am assuming it comes off the two connectors on the rear pillar. I'm guessing your description is right, in that it is the piece that runs to the motor. Quick clarification question: am I right in assuming it runs a coiled cable much like the rear window defroster?

No, it runs on a pair that are under the trim if i remember. It hits junction of wires, and runs to the dash. It connects through two pieces on the strut.

I think ha means the part that goes from the two terminals in the pillar to the motor.

Those wires are part of the right side hatch strut. It's why the right side hatch strut for wiper cars is so expensive, probably.

The rear wiper does not work anyway. Take it off and block the whole with a gasket.

I love my rear wiper. It's very useful. Not *perfect*, because the sweep is perfect for a right hand drive car, but a longer blade helps greatly.

An interesting setup... See, I was having a hella hard time figuring out how that worked because it was so illogical. But, now I get it. I think I will look into making a jury rig setup. Got a lot of friends who like wiring, and we wire up a lot of weird stuff.

I have an -SE and I swapped windows with my old gs. I like the cleaner look of no wiper.

I like looking through a clean window.

Now if only they made side mirror wipers, I'd be set. (The side windows can at least be rolled down...)

Not the best shots, but at the bottom you'll get a glimpse of how I wired mine up. Female spades into the pillar, run wires down strut, tape off, then I took coiled defrost wires from a donor car, and used them to bridge the gap for strut extension.
