rear window leak + bonus question

My 85 GS tends to leak right where the screws attach the window to the hinge arms when it rains somewhat heavy or if I was my car; this may not be the source since it's a low point. Could this be because my 7 has the metal (dealer installed and commonly seen on other 7s) window louvres or is this because of the window seal? It looks like the seal makes a fine connection yet dips down a bit where the metal plates are for the louvres. Unsure why anyone would have initially allowed this kind of a leak if it was just poor louvres design.

Bonus question:

Does anyone's windscreen washers still work? I can hear my pump running and sometimes I get a very low flow; I'm guessing my issue is a leak in the pump or a bad hose/connection.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Additional info:
my GS is color code T9 and I never seem to stop having to fix things on it; but compression is good and I love the car more than anything else on the road.

My original windshield washer still works. As far as the rear seal goes, I'd remove it and check the slot that rest on the body for any debris or tears. Then wipe down the parts it sits on. If yours is torn you could find them at the scrapper for cheap.

my feeling is you're probably right about the louvers. maybe remove them one day and try to confirm with a garden hose or something. the only other option i can think of would be a compromise in the seal itself. so you might want to inspect it even before messing with the louver.

as for the washers, check the hose/pipe leading to the jets for leaks, breaks, etc. also, check the jets themselves. i use a sewing pin to clean them when they get clogged.
