The passenger side sees more action as far as puddles and left over salt. Just because the roads are shaped higher in the center.

OP: have you tried rhinehart in PA? that guy has all kinds of cut up RX cars and parts. And he's pretty close to you.

I forsee the patch panel being needed to be certain the rust doesn't come back. Not something I'll be able to get quickly but I figure as long as I can get everything prepped and ready. Just curious on how far up the panel from alfaparts goes if anyone has an idea. I will also be cleaning and rust proofing the other side because I see some flaking already from where the taillight mounts.

I guess I should start a separate thread on the tail light gaskets to keep this one from straying too far off the topic... because one of mine is shot and I see how the plastic trim sits inside of the gasket. I'll search first to see if theres an existing one before I do.

I hate that, you start draining the swamp, but end up being up to your *** in alligators

So I heard back from Rhineharts rotary and he only has an 82 at his shop. If I'm just getting the portion below the plastic trim would that still be the same? I'm not too familiar with every difference between the SA/FB aside from the obvious (tail lights, trim strips, etc.)

Quick update: i have to postpone this because my daily driver needs a power steering rack and I'll be doing that next week. Also, I'm waiting to hear back from someone about the patch panels anyways.... and since I'm going to have to repaint the entire panel, I'm going to repaint the whole car. Full paint job will be down the line because I will be going over everywhere I can to check and make sure I don't have this problem elsewhere before I paint.
