rear end fluids

ok so i need to change the oil in my rear end, and i bought the oil.

but mazdatrix sells LSD addative, did these come with addative from the factory, and do i need to put it in the rear end?

the reason i ask is cause i heard if you do need the adative and dont put it in it will burn up your clutches.

this is on an 84 -SE

thanks

i use royal purple, which does not require an additive for limited slip.

I'm glad you mentioned that. My rear end has straight GL5 in it.

I'll get some real oil in it soon!

I wondered if i hurt something?

if it's a GSL or GSL-SE with disk brakes, it has LSD. there is a label on the diff unit which states that it has an LSD.
