Rear-end blues

After a dead battery from the lights being left on we push started my RX-7. Well something in the rear axle broke, it was making a loud thumping and now the car will not move at all, drivshaft spins but nothing happens in the rearend. I have not taken it apart yet but i am wondering where i can get aftermarket parts?

I read somewhere here that the guts from a 2200 Mazda truck will fit. Is this true, there are two junked out trucks right across the street.
