Rear axle carrier question

Well Just got my stimulus check and decided to do a litlte work on the GSL-SE.
I will be replacing the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, while I am down there my rear end has been howling. I have replaced my rear wheel bearings in hopes it was that but, no luck
My question is I am looking to replace my rear axle carrier and all it's components. Now those the whole thing just bolt off of the rear end and I can just place the new one in, or is everything gonna fall apart..
I checked the service manual, but it seems as though it all comes out as one unit. I am asking to be sure this is something I can do without screwing things up... thanks ahead for al the help.
Cruz
And if any one has a good unit I am looking to buy in florida only..... Thanks

Pull the axles, and the entire unit will come out the front as one unit.

Thank you so much, I am assuming this will get rid of the howling the 2 rear axle shafts looked great when I took them out to replace the wheel bearings, so basically this should fix the problem I hope. I checked u-joints and a few other things you guys recommened, this seems to be the last thing.........

The axles do not have to be removed from the housing, but they do need to pulled out 3-4 inches.
Hopefully, a new carrier assembly will solve the howling.
