The sway bar arms should be parallel to the ground. The sway bar arms should have zero preload with you/passengers in the car. If the sway bar arms are short that is as stiff as the bar will be & it will lossen the rear of the car. If the arms are long that is as soft as the bar can be & will help stick the rearend. The shorter the bar arm is there will be less body roll.

thanks david

with no one in the car the arms are sloped toward the ground and when I test drove it, it wanted to kick the rear end out quick on a corner that I had no problems with before.
So with what your telling me in order to get my 7 to stick the corners I need to adjust the sway bar out (making the arms longer).
Thanks for the help

If it were my car I would do what needed to be done to have the sway bar arms parallel to the ground FIRST. There are some basics to seting up a car. Try it after they are parallel to the ground, then the longer/shorter set up depending on what it's doing. The more the arms are towards the ground the more affect they have on the bar working improper. Have a pal of similar weight sit in the car.

Dude, the bar needs to go between the two bushings, not on top of both of them.

Unless I'm totally missing something...

xander is correct the arm should be between the bushings. That will put the arm a little close to parallel to the ground. If the arm is still not parallel to the ground is there any adjustment in the upper bracket that mounts to the chassis ? If not measure the red spacer tube & cut it shorter so that the arm is parallel to the ground. Get new shorter long bolts if required after you cut the tube spacer.

Sounds good. For some reason that is the way the stock one was on so I did the same with the rb one.
As for cutting the red tube spacer that is the one that came in the rb kit so I would hope the tube is the correct length. All of this was a goldish metal color so I painted it red to match the front RB sway bar.
I will try all of this this week and see if it handles better.
If anyone has pics please post them. Also did anyone like the under coating? Thanks for the help guys.
