Just wondered which is louder; The RB header long exhaust with a presilencer on each pipe, but no muffler,
Or...The RB header long exhaust with no presilencers, but with the RB muffler?

...And if you're just guessing, then say as much. But I'm looking for someone who knows for sure.

 

I got the RB header + a muffler with nothing else and that sounds PRETTY damn loud ... but no muffler could also word 2 :P

 

I've got the whole kaboodle, but damn those presilencers are heavy!

I would'nt mind shedding some of the wieght. I live in a pretty rural area, and noise pollution is not a big concern.
...Unless I cause a cow stampede!

 

i have heard both and its definetly louder with just the precilencers on, straight to a muffler is tollerable put just the presilencers is hella loud
but the loudest is just with no muffler, or presilencers believe me i made a 4 hour drive with it coming out a straight pipe =)

 

The presilencers do not do much in the way of noise reduction - they basically give your exhaust a better tone - takes away some of the chain buzz - much less tinny. Not sure what the point of your question is but you can't run street without a muffler of some sort, regardless of presilencers.

 

the system with 2 presilencers is louder. i know this for a fact ... i did a lot of exhaust testing back in the day. the header into the RB main muffler is loud, but it's not anywhere near as offensive as the aforementioned system.
