RB porting template

Does RB sell their template with the dowel pin holes in it? Or is it just a small piece of material?

Yes, they have the holes for the dowel pins so you can line them up properly.

Yeah, the come with holes for the dowel pins, but they aren't necessary. RB's templates only have you extend the port up and away from the center. So you just align the template with the bottom and the side facing inward of the port.

Also what porting tools do people use? I know some people use a dremel while others use air tools. What is better? Getting ready to buy some porting tools.. Any help is appreciated..

Air tools are much better. I'd probably get a 15000rpm 1/4" collett dye grinder. For the bit, use a big nasty carbide bit for roughing, and either stones or sanding wheels for finishing.
